From Visible Longevity to Metabolic Beauty

AI, Integrated Longevity Ecosystems, and the Future of Beauty From Within

3)We believe the future of beauty lies in a truly holistic approach, where wellness and appearance are deeply interconnected. Consumers are increasingly aware that skin health is influenced not only by topical solutions, but also by internal physiological balance, emotional wellbeing, sleep quality, stress management, and, above all, gut health.

Among the most relevant trends shaping the nutricosmetic space today is the growing scientific recognition of the gut-skin axis. The microbiome is emerging as a key regulator of skin homeostasis, influencing inflammation, oxidative stress, immune response, and barrier function. This is driving strong interest in microbiome-based solutions that can support skin appearance from within.

For us, “beauty from within” is not simply a trend, but a broader concept connected to overall wellness, including mental health, stress resilience, sleep quality, and healthy ageing. This vision perfectly reflects the evolution of modern consumers, who increasingly seek integrated solutions capable of improving both how they feel and how they look.

Our innovative probiotic and postbiotic solutions are designed to support both gut and skin wellbeing through targeted, evidence-based approaches. We see growing opportunities not only in supporting skin barrier integrity and hydration, but also in working from within to:
•    help manage inflammation linked to skin sensitivity and imperfections;
•    promote healthy ageing through antioxidant and microbiome-modulating strategies;
•    contribute to stress resilience and overall wellbeing, recognizing the strong connection between emotional balance and skin appearance.

Another important evolution is the convergence between beauty, mental wellness, and sleep support. Concepts such as “beauty sleep” and neuro-beauty are gaining traction as consumers better understand the impact of stress, mood, and sleep quality on skin vitality and ageing processes. Ingredients traditionally associated with mood balance, cognitive wellbeing, relaxation, and adaptogenic support are increasingly entering the nutricosmetic arena.

At the same time, we are seeing strong cross-category innovation, with ingredients previously linked to digestive health, immune support, women’s health, and active ageing now being repositioned within beauty-from-within concepts. Probiotics and postbiotics are playing an increasingly important role in this shift toward more comprehensive and multifunctional wellbeing solutions.

We strongly believe in this integrated approach and have generated important results on the efficacy of probiotics in supporting healthy ageing. Scientific evidence has shown benefits in reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, rejuvenating biological age markers, and improving immune system activity and readiness.

We have also developed an effective multi-strain probiotic formulation for sleep, mood, anxiety, and fatigue support. Clinical evidence has demonstrated potential benefits in improving sleep quality, mood balance, and anxiety management, while helping reduce fatigue and depressive feelings, increasing both GABA and serotonin plasma concentrations, and supporting membrane integrity.

Building on our expertise in probiotics, we have gone a step further by developing heat-treated probiotics: a technology based on viable probiotics subjected to precision heat treatment in order to render them inactive while preserving their beneficial properties.

This innovation allows us to offer the market an integrated approach that combines the efficacy of supplementation “from within” with the complementary synergy of topical “outside” applications, effectively bridging beauty and wellness through a holistic perspective.

Ultimately, the future of nutricosmetics will not be about isolated beauty claims, but about supporting the individual as a whole. Consumers are looking for solutions that help them feel better, sleep better, manage stress better, and consequently look healthier and more radiant.
We believe that a healthy gut is the foundation of holistic wellbeing, which is why we continue to study and develop microbiome-based solutions covering multiple areas connected to the evolving “well-beauty” journey.

6) We believe that the future of beauty and skin health will increasingly rely on integrated “In & Out” approaches, combining oral supplementation with topical applications. Skin health is the result of both internal and external factors: while topical products act directly on the skin surface, oral microbiome-based solutions can help support the underlying physiological balance that influences inflammation, oxidative stress, immune response, barrier function, and overall skin homeostasis.
The scientific rationale behind oral-topical pairings is strongly connected to the gut-skin axis. By modulating the gut microbiota and supporting systemic balance from within, probiotics and postbiotics may complement topical strategies aimed at hydration, barrier repair, soothing, and anti-ageing. This combined approach can therefore offer a more complete and holistic support compared to isolated products, addressing both the external manifestations and the internal drivers of skin wellbeing.

Beauty starts from within, and probiotics are increasingly recognized as an important component in supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails. Our deep research and experience have led us to work on developing an integrated approach that combines oral supplementation with topical skincare applications. The objective is to create a complementary synergy acting both internally and externally to support skin health and overall well-being.

This perspective is supported by the expanding body of scientific and application knowledge surrounding probiotics, which has now evolved into a strong scientific and application knowledge of heat-treated probiotics. Heat-treated probiotics represent an interesting opportunity for integrated journeys, as they can be used to develop complementary solutions for oral supplementation and topical applications, while maintaining stability and preserving beneficial properties. This opens the way to more synergistic concepts, where the same microbiome-based expertise can support beauty from within and from outside.

The combination of oral probiotic supplementation and topical probiotic-based skincare provides synergistic benefits. Oral supplementation can contribute to balancing the gut microbiome, modulating inflammatory pathways, and supporting nutrient absorption, with potential effects on skin hydration, elasticity, and overall skin condition. At the same time, topical formulations containing heat-treated probiotics may help strengthen the skin barrier, improve moisture retention, and protect the skin against environmental stressors.

We are applying this integrated “inside-outside” in several different areas, including skin beauty, problematic skin and acne, as well as hair and scalp care. The efficacy of these combined strategies is supported by clinical evidence and in vitro studies investigating mechanisms related to microbiome modulation, skin barrier function, and inflammatory response.

The most relevant findings came from a placebo-controlled study, where we randomized 80 volunteers in four parallel groups for 90 days: we observed that the group receiving both the active scalp serum and the probiotic capsules, showed improvements across all parameters: +28.80% hair gloss, +20.00% scalp hydration, +14.20% anagen/telogen ratio, +14.70% hair density, and +14.40% hair diameter (p<0.05). The combination consistently outperformed either intervention alone, suggesting a synergistic effect between the topical and oral routes — what the authors describe as a true inside-out approach to scalp and hair health (1).

We also see strong potential for nutricosmetics within the dermatology space. Oral probiotic and postbiotic solutions can accompany at-home skincare routines as well as professional in-clinic procedures, supporting skin recovery, barrier function, inflammation management, and overall skin resilience. In this context, nutricosmetics should not be positioned as a replacement for dermatological treatments, but as a complementary tool that may help optimize and prolong results within a broader skin health journey.

Regional differences are also important. In Asia, beauty-from-within and integrated routines are already well established, with consumers highly receptive to preventive and holistic approaches. In Europe, the market is becoming increasingly science-driven, with strong attention to clinical evidence, safety, and regulatory compliance. In North America, the connection between wellness, longevity, microbiome health, and beauty is gaining momentum, particularly among consumers looking for multifunctional and lifestyle-oriented solutions.

Ultimately, integrated “in & out” journeys represent a natural evolution of the beauty market. They respond to a new consumer mindset: beauty is no longer perceived as a purely aesthetic goal, but as the visible expression of internal balance, resilience, and wellbeing. This approach is fully aligned with a scientific vision and microbiome innovation.
